Portrait de ce franchis\u00e9 fid\u00e8le \u00e0 son employeur.<div><br><\/div><div>Dans l\u2019attente de son service militaire en 1980, Peter Verhelst r\u00e9alise un stage de six mois dans la cha\u00eene de restauration, qui deviendra par la suite son futur employeur. \u00abJ\u2019avais un ami de famille qui \u00e9tait le franchis\u00e9 du McDonald\u2019s place de la Bourse, \u00e0 Bruxelles. Il m\u2019a propos\u00e9 de faire un stage de six mois en management\u00bb. \u00a0Le jeune homme \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9 de travailler pour la colossale cha\u00eene de restauration rapide, comme il l\u2019explique\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0j\u2019avais lu beaucoup d\u2019articles sur eux et d\u00e8s que \u00a0j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9, j\u2019ai aim\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s mon service militaire, j\u2019ai voulu continuer \u00e0 travailler chez eux\u00bb.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">De manager \u00e0 franchis\u00e9\u00a0<\/span><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>En effet, l\u2019histoire ne s\u2019arr\u00eate pas l\u00e0. Peter Verhelst re\u00e7oit des formations pratiques et th\u00e9oriques de son nouvel employeur, \u00e0 Chicago notamment. Il y apprend les rudiments de la maison. \u00abPendant dix \u00a0ans, j\u2019ai \u00a0travaill\u00e9 en Belgique et en Europe pour McDonald\u2019s. Je m\u2019occupais de l\u2019ouverture des premiers Mc Donald\u2019s en Europe de l\u2019est, mais aussi en Espagne et dans le sud de la France\u00bb. En 1990, Peter Verhelst devient officiellement franchis\u00e9 en acqu\u00e9rant un premier restaurant \u00e0 Anvers. \u00ab\u00a0Il y a eu des changements dans la direction de McDonald\u2019s et je leur ai fait part de ma volont\u00e9 de devenir franchis\u00e9. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la carri\u00e8re que j\u2019ai faite chez eux, il n\u2019y a pas eu de probl\u00e8me. Cela s\u2019est fait d\u2019un commun accord\u00bb. Et l\u2019entreprise am\u00e9ricaine a eu raison de ce pari, puisque Monsieur Verhelst est aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 la t\u00eate d\u2019une flotte de 8 restaurants en franchise \u00e0 Anvers et ses environs. De plus, il \u00a0emploie plus de 300 personnes. Le franchis\u00e9 a, d\u2019ailleurs, encore des projets\u00a0: \u00ab je compte m\u2019arr\u00eater \u00e0 dix restaurants, probablement. Mais on ne sait jamais (rires)\u00bb.\u00a0<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Un convaincu de la franchise\u00a0<\/span><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>Les relations entre le franchis\u00e9 et son franchiseur sont excellentes, comme le souligne le restaurateur\u00a0: \u00abPour moi, c\u2019est l\u2019un des meilleurs franchiseur du monde. Il y a un dialogue entre le franchis\u00e9, le franchiseur et les fournisseurs. On appelle cela le \u00ab\u00a0three legged stool \u00ab\u00a0\u00bb. Mais le franchis\u00e9 y voit d\u2019autres int\u00e9r\u00eats. \u00abL\u2019avantage le plus important est au niveau des achats, puisque c\u2019est McDonald\u2019s qui s\u2019occupe de la qualit\u00e9 de la nourriture, des prix etc. C\u2019est un gain de temps \u00e9norme. \u00a0Un second avantage concerne le marketing. Le marketing se d\u00e9cide en groupe avec les franchis\u00e9s et le franchiseur, au lieu de le faire seul\u00bb. La cl\u00e9 pour ce franchis\u00e9 exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 pour poss\u00e9der un point de vente en franchise rentable, r\u00e9side dans le personnel\u00a0:\u00a0\u00abIl faut \u00eatre impliqu\u00e9 dans son magasin en franchise. Mais le plus important, ce sont les employ\u00e9s. Il est n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019avoir des gens comp\u00e9tents. On est dans un grand syst\u00e8me, mais on a la libert\u00e9 d\u2019entreprendre.
